I’ve been playing around with some of the blur functions in PS CS6 and began to add a few Tilt-Shift effects on some of my recent shots of Vietnam. In most cases the effect is pretty subtle but I quite like the ‘miniature’ effect on some of them.

I’ve found this really cool video clip with the Tilt-Shift effect applied also:

Hội An & Mỹ Sơn

Here are some more images from my recent trip. I took these in the ancient town of Hội An, where I was lucky enough to witness lanterns illuminating the town as thousands were released across the old quarter to light up the Hoai River.

I also travelled to Mỹ Sơn. Mỹ Sơn is the site of abandoned and partially ruined Hindu temples constructed between the 4th and the 14th century AD by the kings of Cham Empire. Temperatures of 37°C didn’t put me off an enjoyable photographic opportunity.

Huế, Vietnam

Here are some of my images from Huế.

Huế is the capital city of Thừa Thiên–Huế Province, located in central Vietnam.

Sa Pa, Vietnam

Some recent images from Sa Pa, in the Lao Cai province in northwest Vietnam.
